Order ARACHNIDA

Family TETRAGNATHIDAE

(Long-jawed Orb Weavers)

Tetragnatha sp is taken in sweeps in some numbers in early summer (June-July). There is a marked sexual dimorphism, but the slender, long-legged adults can be recognized by the arrangement of the ocelli and large chelicerae.
