(Table of Species)

The Stilt-legged Flies constitute a small family (31 NA spp) of large acalypterates with extremely long legs. Larvae are saprophages, and adults occur in woodlands. Rainieria antennaepes appears almost ichneumonoid-like as it runs over foliage rubbing its banded forlegs together like antennae.
