Most of these small moths (180 NA spp) are leaf miners. Lymnaecia phragmitella
feeds in the heads of cattails. Euclemensia bassettella in an internal
parasite of Kermes coccids. Species of Cosmopterix are dark-colored with
a gold
band near the apex of the forewing.
