Paraclemensia acerifoliella is a maple leaf miner when young, but when larger cuts two circular portions of leaf and sews them together as a portable case. The winter is passed as a pupa inside the case. Species of Adela have extremely long antennae. This family also includes the yucca moths (Tegeticula) of the Southwest where it is the sole pollinator of yucca. 56 NA spp in this Family.
