Paraclemensia acerifoliella is a maple leaf miner when young, but when
larger cuts two circular portions of leaf and sews them together as a portable
case. The winter is passed as a pupa inside the case. Species of
Adela
have extremely long antennae. This family also includes the yucca moths
(Tegeticula) of the Southwest where it is the sole pollinator of yucca.
