Purse Casemaker Caddisfly larvae (201 NA spp) make flattened, purse-shaped
silk cases open at both ends. They are widespread in rivers and lakes.
Minnesota genera--Agraylea(1), Hydroptila(28), Ithytrichia(1), Leucotrichia(1),
Mayatrichia(1), Neotrichia(3), Ochrotrichia(4), Orthotrichia(3), Oxyethira(14),
Stactobiella(2). This family of small caddisflies should be found
at CCNHA.
