Perhaps five undifferentiated species of Shining Flower Beetles (124 NA
spp) in the genera
Phalacrus, Olibrus, Stilbus,
and
Acylomus have been collected at CCNHA. They are sometimes
common on
Solidago and other Asteraceae. Larvae develop in
flower heads. This family requires the attention of a specialist.
