(Burrowing Water Beetles)

The Burrowing Water Beetles (17 NA spp) resemble Dytiscids, but adults have the scutellum hidden. Larvae burrow in the mud. Hydrocanthus iricolor has been collected in Minnesota. None collected at CCNHA.
