Brown Lacewings (50 NA spp; 12 MN spp) occur in wooded areas. The larvae are predaceous, some occuring on tree foliage with a disguising pile of lint on their back. Species collected at Cedar Creek include: Hemerobius humulinus, H. stigmaterus; Micromus posticus, M. subanticus; Sympherobius amiculus, S. sp; and Boriomyia fidelis.
