The eight+ species collected in this family (47 NA spp) are primarily denizens
of woodlands and swamps, and many are rather grotesquely shaped. Genera
collected include: Anotia?
sp, Patara vanduzei,

degeeri, Otiocerus

wolfi) and Cedusa
3 spp (maculata,
incisa,
vulgaris).
Cedusa
vulgaris is quite common on alder. The remaining species
are quite rare.
