(Common Burrower Mayflies)

Common Burrower Mayfly naiads (15 NA spp) burrow in silt or sand in streams and lakes. Wisconsin genera--Ephemera(1), Hexagenia(4), Litobrancha(1), Pentagenia(1).  Pentagenia is sometimes placed in the PALINGENIIDAE.
