Solanaceae. Forb. Leaves alternate. Leaves are variable but are most often somewhat kite-shaped. Margin is often scalloped. Stem and leaves are covered with a dense fine hair. Leaves are much wider than P.virginiana leaves. Lantern is hairy. Flower is yellow. Similar species: Physalis virginiana- P. virginiana is not hairy. Found in fields A and B
