Polygonaceae. forb. Leaves alternate and rubbery. Leaves are very glandular (use stereoscope). Leaves are ova and usually have one or two "thumbs". Flowering stalk is reddish with numerous granular, red-brown seeds. White papery sheaths are present at the base of the stems. No similar species. Found in all fields.
