Hedeoma hispida

Lamiaceae. Forb. Leaves opposite. Stem is square. Leaves are long and thin and usually not present. Four whorled seedpods with spiky bracts underneath are the most distinguishing features. Flowers are small and purple. Leaves have tiny glandular spots in rows parallel to the midrib, usually one row on each side of the midrib. This plant is unique- there are no similar species. Found in all fields.
