Cyperaceae. Sedge. No ligule. Triangular base. Leaves fall in all directions from the base. Similar species: Carex; Poa pratensis - Poa leaves do not fall in all direction but fall in one plane. Cyperus leaves generally have tiny spiky hooks on the back of the midrib and the margin but Poa sometimes has these hooks. See Cyperus filiculmis and Cyperus shweinitzii
