Poaceae. Grass. Plant is tall. Ligule is short, hairy and papery. Can have long, whitish hairs at the ligule area, resembling Sporobolus. Leaves are long and tapering like Stipa spartea. Panicle is long (1 foot or more), narrow, open and pale, with branches somewhat spreading.
