Poaceae. Grass. Very long, papery ligule. Stem branches about a foot off the ground. Leaves medium width- not especially narrow or broad. Panicle 4-8 inches long, purplish with branches spreading. Inflorescence contains awns. Similar species is Agropyron repens. Calamagrostis looks like Agropyron but has a ligule and no auricles. Found in field D. Found in E120.
