Poaceae. Grass. No ligule (in 99% of the cases). Leaves are long thin and typically folded. Stalk is more rounded than flat. Node is distinctive: the leaves fall away from the stalk at a distinct 45 degree angle. This is an early season grass and is often in seed during the summer season. The seedhead is loose and often falls to one side. Similar species: Cyperus sp. , Agrostis scabra (Agrostis has a ligule). Found in all fields. Found in E120, E123, and E141. |
