Poaceae. Grass. No ligule. Leaves are short and broad with hairs on both sides. Stalk is similarly hairy. Panicle is similar to Panicum oligosanthes. with smaller and more numerous "noogies". Similar species: See Panicum capillare and Panicum oligosanthes. Found in all fields.
