Poaceae. Grass. No ligule. Leaves are short and broad with sparse hairs at best. Hairs are usually found on the upperside or the margins of the leaf. Panicle has large, sparse "noogies". This is one of the most common Panicum's found. Similar species: Panicum capillare and Panicum praecocious. Found in all fields.
